ios 16.3

I have it set to never remove deleted messages (ie those in bin) but it seems to be deleting stuff after about a month. Why is that?

How's your experience been with your iPhone 14 Pro on the latest firmware 16.3? I've always had pretty awful battery life with the 14 Pro and I don't want to ruin my battery life even more for some features that I won't even use on iOS 16.3.

I've been thinking of getting a Yubikey 5 NFC but am worried that it wouldn't work with Apple's security key integration. Do I need something that directly plugs into the lightning port or will NFC suffice? Does anyone know how exactly the 3rd party security key integration works?
