podcast on apple watch

I have a Series 8 watch running the newest version of WatchOS 10 (10.0). Now, my Podcasts app crashes within ~15 seconds of opening it. I used to use it all the time without this problem. Is anyone else encountering the same issue? Any ideas on how to fix it?
