Get the truegrip pro from comply. No need to cut anything. :)
Fits perfectly.
More immersive sound experience with the volume slightly cranked up.
I looked at them. They don’t appear to be a direct fit. How do they fit on the APP’s without modification?

Apple tip is medium
Comply tip is also medium

You do have to pierce through the middle portion of the comply tip. Then you will get those 2 small little things out (refer to my first photo)

then you pull the AirPods tip like your birdy’s fore skin and have those comply go through.

So if you cut off one of the extra tips,
You can basically fit a lot of shure, comply or westone tips.

The best seal I got with the large ones. Finally the AirPod pros fit me.
I tried all three sizes before but they were still too small.

So you're basically just wrapping the AirPods Pro tips around foam ones?

I really like how your solution looks. How’s the fit/function?

I’m not sure I understand your description for the mod itself. Any chance you can post a video?

Informative video here about adding memory foam. Very useful

Yes, thanks! I wonder if the Comply tips used by kaisheng have a smaller volume (not audio, but sidewise) - there's less black foam showing in his setup and, most importantly: kaisheng, does your case close fully/easily/normally with your setup?

Just a PSA. I bought a set of Symbio W eartips for my Sony WF-1000XM3s last summer (hybrid tips - memory foam inside a standard silicone sleeve) and last night I discovered that the foam insert can be removed with relative ease AND fits inside the AirPods Pro tip perfectly.

This is what I bought: https://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/aw/d/B07T5TBTSW?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_image

And this is is what it looks like, on the AirPods Pro. They fit inside the case exactly like the stock tips, too.

Nice! Can you please describe how you did it (including what size of each kind of tip you used)?

Sure. I originally did the medium tips (Symbio medium to AirPods Pro medium) but I just did the large as well, and took some pictures (click to enlarge). The whole process took about two minutes. The original/unmodified tips are on the left, in all the pictures (for comparison's sake).

1. Begin by inverting both tips. The Symbio memory foam seems to be sticky, but it actually isn't sticky - just tacky. So the tip inverts pretty easily, exposing the memory foam core.

2. Slide the memory foam off the shaft. (yeah, yeah - I'm sure there's a joke there)
IMG_0841.jpeg

3. As you can see, the memory foam insert comes off easily.
IMG_0842.jpeg

4. Pinch the AirPods Pro tip, and squish/twist it through the center of the memory foam.
IMG_0843.jpeg

5. Pull the AirPods Pro tip through the memory foam's center, and position the memory foam on the shaft.
IMG_0844.jpeg

6. Re-invert the AirPods Pro tip and you're done.
IMG_0845.jpeg

7.As you can see, the case closes perfectly.

The memory foam is quite pliable, so it fits the AirPods Pro tips' center shaft perfectly.

Hope that helps!

Super helpful! I see in the last picture the case isn’t closed all the way. Does it close completely/normally or does it require pushing down the lid or compressing the tips?

Ah. No, I didn't think posting a picture of a fully closed lid would be helpful. ;) I took that picture with the lid slightly open to show that there's exactly as much clearance with the stock tip as the modified tip.

The lid requires no extra effort or pressure whatsoever. It closes completely, and feels exactly as it does with the stock tips. Exactly. There is no resistance at all, no additional pressure or effort required.

Great to hear! Thanks notice the orange foam seems to be showing more in the final picture than in your original post. Is it just the photo angle or do these slip gradually with the silicone needing to be pushed over repeatedly/periodically?

Can anyone who has tried this with Comply tips comment whether it’s as easy to do and whether the case closes normally also? Any other compare/contrast would be appreciated too (for example, I’ve heard Comply might be softer than Symbio)

Hi Guys. I also couldn’t get any seal with the large tips. So to make it short: the method in the video really works. And it is the best solution currently for everyone who can’t get a seal. I bought the comply tru grip pro large today. And use them as the video described. Well, now I have perfect seal. The ANC works great, and also the test pass for the first time. Super happy with this solution.
