I'm getting a new magic keyboard for my late 2013 iMac, but it says it requires macOS 10.12.4 or higher and I'm on El Capitan 10.11.6. So it won't work?

I'm confused cause it's just plugging a keyboard via usb so why wouldn't it work regardless or macOS?

Thanks

The Magic Keyboard is wireless. It may work plugged in via its lightning cable, but probably will not work with Bluetooth. I'd strongly suggest updating your operating system anyway as El Capitan hasn't received any security updates in a year.

I don't use bluetooth anyway, thanks for confirming my suspicions.
