Burning home movies using OWC's Mercury Pro and M-disc?

Hey there!
I have a Macbook Pro form early 2015. I LOVE making 5-15 min family movies.
I'd like to burn them using a reliable device that will produce archival quality movies.
Here's what I am thinking to get the device:

M-DISC is the right choice for archiving.
That drive looks like it will do the job.

BUT...
Seems to me you could buy smaller-sized BD/DVD/CD/M-DISC drives that will work as well.
Check around.
