Can you sign into music with a different Apple ID than the Machine

For years I’ve shared my music with my daughter by having her sign in with my ID on her phone. I’m open to family sharing just never figured out how.

Got her a MacBook for Christmas and I know this is going to be a Christmas morning configuration. Now that iTunes is gone, does Music have this capability or is it time to configure family sharing?
