Alright everyone, the final monthly challenge of 2019! So, what all do we have to do this December? Mine is still pretty easy:

I have to burn an average of ~600 activity calories per day. Not too difficult but a little harder than I was hoping for over the holidays

Still, as I have every ring and award for the whole year so far, I won’t be letting December slip through my grasp

I have to burn 28300 calories this month. 910 calories per day.
Not easy since my daily goal is at 850 but can be done easier than my last month's goal which didn't go very well..

First, I wanna congratulate our RINGleader Jason Hensley on accomplishing an extremely difficult challenge last month. He deserves major Kudos from all of us. GREAT JOB JASON!!

My challenge this month is as follows:

407ccc11c38f6e3eff7156bab661e973.jpg

I’ve had this one before with a different number attached. Can anyone remind me if this is taken only from walk/run workouts, or does it count the random mileage racked up from walking around the office, home, to the mailbox, etc.? This one is very doable I think. And I’m going to do all I can to make it happen.

My regular exercise these days is a nightly jaunt on my elliptical while watching Netflix or Disney+ or Blue Bloods Season 9. I am also getting a bit more activity as I referee basketball for school leagues and a men’s rec league.

Good luck everyone on your December goals, and Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanza, or Happy Whatever you do or don’t celebrate.

Ridiculously easy. Just reduce your move goal by 50% for the first two days of the month. I'm already starting to feel like my watch has it in for me compared to you guys

Being a teacher, December is my term break and I am normally less active, since the bulk of my active time comes from moving around at work. My move goal is normally 500 cal, so that’s 1000. Not gonna adjust it, and if I don’t meet it, then I won’t.

Mine is very doable: close my Move ring 27 times. The “advantage” of having some light days last month is that it’s 27 and not 30 or 31.

I don’t have one. I was without a watch most of November so maybe that’s why?

I got exactly the same as you. For an entire year all I‘ve gotten are calorie goal, exercise minutes, and distance goals which have gotten progressively harder (eg November was ~100 minutes of exercise per day). But rarely despite the above have I ever doubled my move goal this year so also got the super easy 2-day 200% move goal. Should have December and a perfect year of monthly challenge goals all Wrapped up by tomorrow evening and then I can coast a bit! ;)

Mine is to walk (or run, but that’s not happening) 97.7 miles. I’m already a bit behind and I’m walking less than usual at the moment (plus, you know, Christmas; the lying on the sofa watching terrible telly holiday) so it’ll be a challenge but I need to be shaken out of inactivity so I’ll get there, I hope.

I have to Burn 33,000 Calories in December. That averages out to 1063/day. This one will be damn hard to accomplish between work and school, especially the end of semester school projects...

It's total distance moved on foot. Including workouts but not limited to.

I had a similar challenge in November. It wasn't until half way through the month that I realised my runs from my Garmin (synced through Strava to Apple Health) weren't counting towards the challenge. It's odd because those same Garmin runs were counting towards my Move and Exercise rings each day.

I didn't wear my watch at all for one week in November so I missed last months challenge. This month because of that is easy. I just have to close my move ring 25 times.
