If it's PC only, maybe it's because Apple seems to break compatibility in OS X/macOS every few years...

No Mac support. PC, Xbox One, PS4, and next-gen console interest.
The thing is, when Blizzard say ”PC” they can mean ”Windows and MacOS”.
Warcraft 3 Reforge will be available for MacOS it seems:

The thing is, Blizzard has historically never lumped these two platforms together before and always explicitely stated when a game was coming for Mac.
They've been referring to Windows and Mac updates for Diablo 3 as for ”PC” for a long time and I remember that caused concerns for some that those updates wouldn't be for Mac, but they were.
So I guess the confusion is that we cannot know for sure what Blizzard mean when they say "PC".

The old Warcraft III game continues to get MacOS focus from Blizzard:
