I'm curious why nobody has created a thunderbolt 3 dock with ports for TB2 devices? I have a lot of drives and such and yes I can buy a 2 to 3 adapter, but it would be nicer if my dock had a retro-connector on it to use those older peripherals.

Because of the way Thunderbolt works, you can’t have a Thunderbolt “hub” where you plug in one Thunderbolt connection into your PC and it splits it into a few Thunderbolt connections.

Most people would want to daisy chain using Thunderbolt 3.

Combined the above reasons and you find yourself making Thunderbolt 3 Docks as a manufacturer.
