Was with Vodafone on my xs but just moved to a new area where Vodafone isn't covering that well. So I got a EE Pay as you go sim to try them out. 6 gig gone in less than a day, wtf?! Popped my Vodafon sim back in for a couple of days and my daya usage is back to normal. I wouldn't use 6 gig in a month being of wifi most of the time.

Decided to try again, another £10 and 6gb data. Again, gone in a day.

So my question is, why is my phone using WAAAY more data on EE than it has done on Vodafone?

Have you looked in settings to see what's using up the data?
