External HDD issues

Hi all.

I repurposed a HDD from an old windows notebook into an external HDD for my MBP. Formatted all OK but when I try to copy (in this case my entire music folder) I get the finder 36 error DESPITE having run the dot_clean command in terminal on the Music folder, and the HDD.

Any advice greatly appreciated!
