Note: This will be my last post to this thread! Apple, you've won View attachment 847712 I have replaced my GTX 1080 with an RX 580 and finally moved on to Mojave. I will waste no more time searching in vain for non existent Nvidia web drivers.

I'm sure to you folks at Apple your victory was sweet, but to us users it was a crappy low down move to say the least View attachment 847713

AND the lack of information coming from either Apple or Nvidia was just another example of their complete lack of customer support!

The GTX 1080 was actually my third Nvidia Card. I had time and money invested in Nvidia and my cMP, and then the plug get's pulled? Really!!!!! Way to go guys!!!!!!

Just curios why are you searching NVIDIA drivers from Apple? Why this fixation at Apple? I did not hear them ever developing any web driver ( or any video card driver).

Hello everybody

I hope it is ok to post my question in this thread. I have an MP 3,1 with El Cap 10.11.6 and wish to install a Quadro M4000 card.

I have downloaded the driver called "WebDriver-346.03.15f16". Is this the latest version for 10.11.6?

Also, I thought of making a new El Cap partition and try the web driver there first. Will it install for all users on the computer? If so, is there a way to prevent this? I suspect not (in which case I would just try it on the normal boot partition) but thought I should ask.

Thank you very much in advance
Philip

^^^^Well you read something into it that wasn't there. I searched multiple sources, none of them Apple, including Nvidia.

I really suggest to stay at 387.10.10.15.15.108, no need to wait for anything, can perform OS update at anytime, just keep using the cMP like it's natively supported in High Sierra.

This is the drivers I've been running since they were released and work great.

Was posting more for the interest and warning to those who might experience driver issues.

Is there a way to force retina-style scaling with my shiny new 4k monitor and a 1060 with 387.10.10.15.15.108?

That worked perfectly, and after changing the cables I managed to fix another issue I had with sleep.

One thing I'm still puzzled by. My monitor claims HDR10 support but System Information still reports a 24-bit color space.

Believe it's an issue with Nvidia GPUs. Radeon cards have full HDR10 support. It was mentioned on the forum somewhere, but I've lost track of the post.

Glad the option trick worked for you!

Hello Philip ( @pullman ) would you mind reporting back on the M4000...? Are you happy with the performance of this card? Any issues with NVIDIA webdrivers and the Quadro M4000..? Any feedback or comments would be very helpful. Thank you.
