I'm going around in circles with OWC who sent me 9 pin firewire cable for my mid-2011 iMac.

I believe that my firewire port is a 4 pin not a 9 pin. Does anyone know who has a firewire cable that will mate with the OWC 9 pin port as well as the 4 pin (I think) 2011 iMac port?

The 4-pin Firewire port (i.Link) can mostly be found on Sony devices. Your iMac most certainly has a square-ish 9-pin FireWire 800 port.

There are 3 firewire connectors. Which one did you get?
Top is FW400, middle is FW800, bottom is the mini-FW

For a 2011 iMac, you need a cable with a connector that looks like the one in the middle in the pic above.

Rectangular, with "the little notch" in it.

You have a 9-pin FireWire port.

I'd like to thank all of the responders for their firewire inputs.
