Greetings all!

Have you worked in Apophysis-j?

Can someone help with rendering big files?

Believe me I browsed all over the place in order to find the answers, red some tutorials, but couldn't find the answers to my question.

My computer has 8Gb of RAM two slots of 4Gb, but when I attempt to render a big PNG file that operation gets aborted because for example it says to render such file will take 94Mb of physical memory but only 70 is available.
I mean on the rendering panel there is a "memory usage help button" when you click on it it tells you following:

If you want to control the memory usage, you have to launch the program from the command line. For example to request a limit of 200Mb:

java -Xx200m -jar apophysis-j-NN.jar

(where NN is the version number of the program)

I did type the following command into the terminal: java -Xx200m -jar apophysis-j-2.7.jar
and it didn't help!

To be honest I have not got a clue how it can be helped...
Unfortunately I have no idea of how to launch the program from the command line??

Can someone please help me to figure this out?

Thanks for taking time to read and answer my thread.

Have a good day!
