I’m still sitting on iOS 13.2.2 and just holding off until 13.3 Official release. I’ve read mixed reviews on battery life on 13.2.3. What are your experiences so far. Should I just wait until the next update or has 13.2.3 been an improvement. My device is the 11 pro max

You have to take into consideration the amount of time spent on the phone from which the battery life is perceived.

I have a friend who practically lives on her iPhone XS and her battery life is horrible - she has to charge a couple times per day. She complains that Apple screwed us on battery life.

I check my iPhone XR maybe a few times a day and my battery typically lasts all day - many times I can get away with going two days without charging at all and I'm fine. My friend can't understand why I get better battery life on an inferior phone. But, then again, I only have 6 third-party apps installed and I don't allow background app refresh for any app.

TL;DR: The more work your phone is doing the more battery it is going to consume. Try this; charge your phone to 100%, put the phone down and don't touch it for 48 hours. Then pick it up and check the battery life. Poor battery life is often the fault of the user - but most people aren't willing to accept the blame.

About the same as it was with 13.2.2 (and 13.2 and 13.1 before that).

I definitely see a difference in a battery life on both my iPhone 11 Pro and 12.9 iPad Pro 3rd gen. Difference in usage and standby, about a 10% difference.

Difference compared to what? And a difference for the better or worse?

Seems MARGINALLY worse for me on 10.2.3, but on an 11 Pro, that's still more than enough to get through the day. It's not atypical for me to finish the day at >50% battery remaining (a far cry from the 8 Plus it replaced, where I'd have to charge that thing after lunch each day).

Battery life on iPhone XS has been terrible on iOS 13 for me. From 6h to 5h SOT.

Does your friend realize that you have a bigger battery as well as a lower resolution screen that uses less power? Even with equal usage, your battery will win.

That's kind of neither here nor there given that the OP is on 13.2.2 already (and wondering how 13.2.3 is in comparison).

I haven't done any tests, but just using the phone (11PM) I'd say that my experience across 13.2.x has been roughly the same - no difference to notice.

For me it's fixed all of my problems in the iOS 13 series of releases and is finally the first decent release

What I meant is that it has been dismal throughout all iOS 13 iterations. I’m currently on the last 13.3 PB and it’s the same.

I understand what you meant, I was just saying that it didn't really apply to the particulars of what the OP was posting about in this thread.

I thought something was wrong my iPhone. Unfortunately, it seems to be a software issue. I get the same drainage on two iPhones (iPhone 7 and X). Even after DFU restores with no third party apps installed. Both batteries are healthy too. Apple offered me an express replacement but I know that will just be a waste of time because it’s a software problem.

My iPhone 11 Pro, XS Max and iPad 11 Pro all have terrible battery life lately. Not sure what has happened, as nothing has changed on my end, but when I check battery life it says Siri is responsible for most of the usage. I don't even use Siri that much.

I turned off Hey Siri and some other Siri functions and still bad. On iPhone 11 Pro was 100 percent battery before I went to bed and woke up and was around 25%. Used to always stay at around 100 percent. Battery Health shows Siri the only thing causing it during those hours. Strange....

Damn. That’s worse than mine.

Update: I downloaded 13.2.3 a week ago and my battery is even better than it was on 13.2.2 the most recent example is last night I charged my phone to 96% around 8 pm. Fast forward 12 hours later with an 1hr 43 min of usage and I’m still at 96%. On 13.2.2 my battery would drain 5-10% in the same period with no SOT at all. Much better. So I’m good for now

So you already were on iOS 13.2.3 when you asked about it?

No. That’s the reason for the post. As I read the thread that I started, people for the most part were saying it’s been mostly the same so I took a dive in. So somewhere around 2-3 days after I posted I downloaded it

I have the 11 Pro Max as well and battery life has been outstanding. Not happy with some of the persistent bugs but battery life hasn’t been one of them.

So, I went to Apple yesterday and brought to run diagnostics on the above. Of course, nothing showed up and they were surprised at how quickly Siri was draining my battery. Of course, they told me to erase everything and setup as new. So far, that has not worked, as the same battery issues on all three devices continued last night with Siri.

I guess next step is to erase everything again and don’t install everything and see if that causes Siri battery drain. Frustrating, as why does the battery health tell me what app is draining the battery using Siri.
