I've searched around, and it doesn't seem possible. Given the cost of these pencils, I'd have expected some basic security, like locking to one ipad, then having to unlock/unpair before it could be used on another.

The whole find my iphone type setup is great to stop people stealing phones and ipads, something similar should have been done for pencils. Or have I missed the option somewhere?

If Apple added that functionality the pencil would cost even more. I’ve lost one. It sucked. Bought a new used one.

It's fairly old technology now, car keys have been coded to cars for years. Given how small and stealable the pencil is, a simple locking to one ipad would have been a really useful feature.
