Hi All,

Almost done customizing my Mac, but i can't figure out how to remove the separator between the application icons and the applications folder, downloads folder and trash can.

Does anyone know how to remove this line which is in between them?

Managed to find it out for myself. For the people who want to know the solution:

Go to:
/System/Library/CoreServices and locate dock. Once you've located Dock right click Dock and click Show package contents.

Then go to:
Contents/Resources and locate the the following two files:

separator@2x.png
separator.png

Then rename them to whatever name you want, i prefer:

separator@2x-old.png
separator-old.png

Next:
Open terminal and type killall Dock

The seperator is now removed from the dock :)

New Icons

Since you will certainly be able to tell, how did you go about acquiring the new icon displays? I'm looking into trying to customize mine but have not done anything that in depth quite yet. The only thing I would likely try to change is to get rid of the lower grey area across the bottom so whichever background I choose would fill the void.

All help appreciated!

In OS X El Capitan there is no seperator.png or seperator@x2.png... D:! Do you know any other way to do this? (On El Capitan?)
