Talked to 2 different reps in Chat, and escalated to a senior advisor, nothing.

Claimed if I was eligible, it would auto-trigger my account. Even a day later, couldn't add it manually.

Keep on calling Apple. Took me 2 hours on the phone, but in the end they gave me a year of AppleTV+ via a gift code. I bought an iMac on Sep 18, had to send them the receipt.

Technically the offer does seem to based on purchase date rather than the date you received or activated your device

Don’t feel bad, I purchased a new MacBook Air in August plus almost $2k in other products in the past year and can’t get this either. Meanwhile people who have bought nothing are getting a free year because they replaced a device with Apple Care.

Well, I guess I have to retract my statement. I received the one year offer today for my MacBook Air purchased in August. I wonder if that was a result of my call to Apple Support.

It's weird that I got it for an August purchase. I have purchased and activated 2 phones, an iPad Pro, an Apple TV, and a MacBook Air since March 2018. I also have Air Pod Pros on the way. I wonder if that was taken into consideration when extending offers.
