Hello everyone,

First post on here as i'm a new member.

I've just moved house and found an old 4th Generation iPod touch (16GB) which is quite old stool i guess.

Is this worth anything for collectors? If not i might just use it for the gym.

Thanks

What iOS version is it running? If it's an earlier version, it may be worth a fair penny. If not, you could get $40 at the most if it's in good condition.

The 16GB model was only made for a few months at the end of its life, so they are all running the newest iOS version that is supported. Since it's sealed though, you could possibly get $40-$70, especially if it's white.

50$ at most. More, if sealed. Sealed ones are rare. The 4th gen iPod touch 16 GB White was actually my first iOS device, i miss it, but the camera sucked.

It supported iOS 4.1 - 6.1.6. 16 GB versions were introduced late 2012 with the 5th gen iPod, so it's running atleast 6.0 as stated above (makes sense).

I just bought one new in box with iOS 4 (by the looks of it) for $35 on eBay. Gonna have some real nostalgia from my 6th grade days when I unbox this baby! I may buy some new in box and keep them in their boxes but I want one with a fresh battery. I got a 2nd gen that was new in box and the battery works like new after I let it charge for a few hours (boot looped for a couple of minutes then started charging due to sitting for so long). Hoping the 4th gen does the same!

iOS 4 touches are surprisingly cheap still, I think it's because there were no OTA updates. If the FaceTime icon is green on the box, it's 4 for sure.
