Hi everybody,

Tried to change my MAC address in both a G4 PowerBook and a G5, with spoof-mac and MacDaddyX, with no luck. The Mac address gets unchanged in System Preferences, for example.

Is it possible to really change it? Maybe Open Firmware?

I always thought the MAC address was hard-coded into the network devices and unchangeable. Did google give you any results on changing PPC mac addresses in Open Firmware?

Found some info in how to retrieve the value from OF, but nothing more.
