Photos form iPhone not showing in Photo app on MacBook Air after downgrading form Catalina

Tried out Catalina and then removed it and reinstalled Mojave form internet recovery - only problem now is that my Photios on MacBook Air are not showing any new photos taken on my phone since this The rest of my photos (all 40,000) are there only stop at time of update / downgrade. - not sure how to fix this

I hate Photos !

I use iPhoto 9.6.1 in my 4,1>5,1 Mac Pro in Mojave 10.14.6 ( build 18G1012 ) without any issues at all.

iPhoto 9.6.1 recognizes my iphone's photos & videos.
