Not sure if it's because I'm an impulsive buyer or defending the purchase, but I upgraded my Xs Max to 11 Pro Max and I'm extremely happy I did. The camera!!

11 Pro for me, 8 for the wife. She has no interest in upgrading but the Pro is far and away my favorite phone ever. The XS was a nightmare and I can’t believe I lasted a full year with it.

Really?! I’d say the camera and battery life is earth shattering .
They were good upgrades, but to me not earth shattering! The camera was no real change until Dark Fusion was released, which is really good now. (I am coming from pro shooting with Nikon D800e). My battery life is about the same, mainly due to my using Light Mode I believe.

I have no regrets with the upgrade.

That's interesting, so do you just use it as a dumb phone?

I have a work phone IP8 and a personal phone iPhone 4S (running 9.3.6) - I like the small form factor of the IP4 and some of the apps "filemaker go" and a decibel meter app and a few hiking apps that did not make it past iOS 9

It does not seem like a dumb phone to me - I can text get personal emails and personal calls, personal text messages and keep my work phone calls and emails separate.

It is a great phone - still the has the orginal battery and am using a "Powermat Case" and wireless charger

It all depends on what I am wearing:

* With my Smoking Jacket and ascot I use my Rose Gold 6s.
* With my Cocktail ring and Tux just a black 11.

:D

seeing that people who visit this forum are likely iPhone enthusiasts, it would be expected that most would be using a newer iPhone. I wonder what the poll results would look like if just 100 random people on the street were asked the same question. Bet the results would vary, vary by town also.
If I just think about personal experience alone with family, work colleagues and what I see daily then I’d say that poll would be mostly iPhone 7’s, 8’s and the XR occupying the top spots. You’re right that MR will be very biased towards newer models due to the nature of the forum. In the run up to Xmas I’m seeing the XR and iPhone 11 being advertised the most by carriers and throughout the city. People like a good deal.

I use the 11. I see so many people with the X/XS/XS MAX around here. Seems like the most popular newer iPhone
