Any place but here or there....
No images, but one billing division from the hospital where I was treated last July just waived the remaining $1k in bills so I am debt free with that department.

It literally pays to be nice to the hospital billing department (and insurance too) reps. I worked with the hospital billing woman for months trying to get my med insurance to waive these as they were “surprise bills.”

Yesterday, I told the billing rep I would be glad to start paying down my bill because a couple of the doctors on the invoices saved my life. So she took half of the first bill and waived the second once I provided proof from the med insurance they wouldn’t waive it. Med insurance paid the vast majority of my med bills and will continue to anyway.

So money in my pocket? Oh yes, please.

Work gave me a 2014 i7, 16GB, 256GB SSD macbook pro. They've also given me a 2017 HP probook with an i5, 7GB and 256GB SSD. No complaints here.

Herschel Pop Quiz Backpack from Amazon. Their current "black" option displays pictures of a blue and black backpack so when you order it you will get an actual black backpack. I called to complain about how the picture doesn't match what I ordered and they told me just to keep it. Gave me a full refund.

Well I'm a network admin and computer specialist. We cover 54 school districts. They want us to be up to snuff, skill wise, on both Mac and PC. So, might as well give us both. Haha.
Makes sense. I'd only carry the Mac though and run a Windows VM. Sounds like we share a similar job though my "students" are older and likely more stubborn and in many ways harder on their tech.

A total stranger sent me $21 [-ish] in Japanese revenue stamps for free today.

You might be thinking that's not much, but it actually saves me a lot of hassle. There are some forms that need to filled out and you must attach payment, but that cannot be paid by check, credit card, cash. They take only one form of payment: Revenue stamps. Basically they look like postage stamps except you are paying the government a tax in advance and you get these stamps to attach and "pay" with them.

Well... I would do that...but you'll probably be sad to know I'm primarily a windows user. I have a PC I built as my main rig at home, primarily carry my windows laptop, and use android. I rarely use mac outside of work these days...lol

Not sad at all. Use what works for you by all means. I'm no zealot one way or another though I prefer iOS to Android and am certainly more familiar with iOS over Android. I'm almost all in on Windows as well- but I actually run Mac at home (despite deceasing use of computers at home). I support windows users and systems all day so I prefer not to compute much at home, as to me it's not really fun anymore. 10-15 years ago it was basically all I did and it was fun.

Fair enough. I'm turned all Android actually. Been a huge fan of OnePlus phones since they came out, love the near stock Android experience, and I'm very particular about the way I like my phone setup, and iOS just simply isn't customizable enough to support my preferences, haha. But yeah I have no real bias either way, use whatever works. I use both every day.

I did some testing and wrote a review of the Pitaka MagDock Pro and a Pitaka iPhone case... and they sent me a production version of this awesome charger.

My employer was replacing computers this month and I noticed two 27" iMac's in the scrap bin. I asked our IT if I could have them, they said go ahead. They both work, are 2011 models. They both have 8gb of RAM. One works perfect, I cleaned that one up and gave it to my parents to use. The other appears to have some backlight bleed issues on the edges, but not unusable, I'll keep inspecting.
