In another thread @LizKat suggested that I post some pics of the sky that I took while flying between OKC and Dulles, and I couldn’t find a remotely recent thread where it felt on-topic while scanning through this forum.

Anyway, this is a thread for your weather/sky pics, sunrises, sunsets, and so on.

I’ll start... These were on the flight home. First up is an angry-looking sea of stratocumulus:

Second up is a beautiful, wavy altocumulus field (and the roughest part of the flight by far):

As we flew closer to the cold front, some towering cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds greeted us:

And finally, what’s all this without a hell of a sunset pic (a bit out of focus for some reason):

LOL!! Oh yeah I remember about 35 years of "sky" pictures like that too!

That one looks like flying over a roughed-up snowfield the Iditarod racers would be at home in...

Sunglasses on for today. My northern Scandinavian eyeholes can't deal with all that bright sun

And yes, I live in a hole surrounded by sheep on the "hills" there which is just a small snippet of the whole "hillside". Though not there at the present time the sheep have been good at keeping all the hogweed we originally had there down by simply eating them.

The other side of the apartment looks like it didn't get the memo yet about the sun coming through. I agree that it's there.
