As it was stated in prior comments on this thread, some web pages, when viewed give predictive text as soon as you tap on the webpage bar at the top of the screen. For example, the page "might" contain a location and when I tap the address bar, the city name appears as predictive text. I have predictive text off and search/siri suggestions off.

I guess what I'm asking is if there's an example web site where you still see this that we can try also? Some of the previous examples don't seem to be resulting in this behavior anymore in iOS 11.2.

And it doesn't come up right away. Tap on the address bar and then cancel. Might have to a few times.

That's kind of how it worked sometimes before 11.2 for me (and other times on some pages it would always be there).

Just tried a dozen times or so on that page again in Safari on my iPhone 7 with iOS 11.2 and I'm still not seeing any suggestions/predictions.

I was wrong. Not fixed. Not sure if the problem came back with 11.2.1 or if it was never gone with 11.2.

Symptoms are the same as above.

Interesting, after doing the back and forth described in a post above I got it to come up in iOS 11.2.1 just now. A little while back with iOS 11.2 it didn't do it even after more back and forth on the same web sites.

Not only that, it causes freeze up when typing. For instance when typing in Reddit , the keyboard will freeze for about 5 seconds before the “cut copy etc” or word suggestions pops up over what you’re typing.

Yep, still here in 11.3.1. We should all send Feedback. This is ridiculous.

I came here looking for answers to this issue as I started noticing it on iOS12 (can't recall having it before) and it seems this bug has a long history. I just submitted a feedback but won't expect fix to show up anytime soon.

PLEASE PLEASE, devs testing iOS13, report this thing to Apple.
Let's hope iOS13 will fix this infuriating bug.

I hate how ignoring Apple is. I submitted this as a bug many times in beta feedback (during 12 beta and 13 beta) but never heard back from them. It's like they don't care about finding bugs and problems. They just let them stay for years. Any news about 13.1?
