Recs for external drives to use?

Im looking to purchase a new 4tb external HD to use with my RocketStor thunderbolt bay. I figured I'd reach out and see if anyone has recs for particular brands? So many to choose from! I'll be using the drive for audio and video editing.

For video editing you will be much happier with a 4TB SSD. Samsung and Crucial make good ones.

Otherwise you want a desktop type drive for working and, for archiving or backup, a NAS type drive. WD makes good ones.

I have been using a G Drive 2TB from Filmtools for two years, very happy with it; comes formatted for Mac so just plug it in USB. They have models up to 12TB I think.
