Tbh there is no need.
Honestly, there is nothing I would actually change about my Gear S3 Classic! Other than if it had Bluetooth 5.
Otherwise this will absolutely remain my only smartwatch for the next 12-24 months (and I've already had it since Dec '16).
The gear S3 looks better and is more premium but it's too big for me. I'll have a look at the gear sport. I don't care about magnetic strip payments as don't use those in the UK, only chip and pin and contactless.
The gear icon X I'll buy.

I thought the S3 might be too big for me before I got it but I now I'm used to it and think it's okay.
Wow, the Verge seems to like the new Gear Sport. Their impression video made it look pretty nice.
I didn't realize it's not a direct upgrade to the Gear S line. It's to be sold along with the Gear S3.
So is there going to be a Gear S4 in the horizon?

Check out this female Youtuber's Gears S3. Females wearing bigger watches is much more common now, but still a very personal preference. Nonetheless, have a look at the video.

I wanted to see the gear sport before buying a s3 frontier. The frontier, and classic are a lot more masculine, and have infinite band selection. The screen is also appreciably bigger. Debating whether to order one now, or wait for BF.
I really want a s3 frontier, i will have to check out the refurb area (was not aware they had one). The sport looks ok , but the s3 frontier looks really nice.

Actually like the look and customizable faces over the Apple watch. Apple watch is a bit easier to use or adapt too though but Samsung sport looks more like traditional watch's and offers more customizations offers.
Plunged for the Gear Sport (Black) to complement my Galaxy S9.. really impressed with it so far!
The Gear Sport is much more manageable than the Gear S3 I had last year.. lets hope Samsung support it for a while.

How much did you pick it up for and where did you get it from?
I paid £225 from John Lewis here in the UK.. they price match it another retailer.
First impressions have been very good!
So I finally caved and purchased a Gear S3 Frontier after wearing a S2 Classic for the longest. Was very interested in the Sport, but it's only about $20 cheaper, so I went for the larger battery and speaker of the S3. Should get it tomorrow.
For those that have a Gear S3. Can the watch last a full day with the always on display? I just got mines today and finished setting it up. The AOD is so much better vs on the S2 Classic. I don't care if it doesn't last multiple days as I will put it on the charger daily, but I hope it lasts a full 24hrs or close to.
So 14 hours with AOD on, I'm at 58% with a remaining estimated life of 1d 7h 20min. That's pretty damn good.
