Suggestions on a broken phone that recently powered on

I have a Pixel 3 that recently died and I have been letting it set for the past few weeks and I just tried powered it on and the screen didn't work but it made a 911 call. I just hooked it up to my MacBook and downloaded the file transfer program but it isn't showing up. I have some pics and videos that I didn't get to back up the last time I used it before I dropped it in the river. I am not currently home but if I can get it to work with my computer I'm hoping it will back up when I get home on wifi
