So I've heard of software that can just bypass the lockscreen of any ipod touch basically by unlocking it somehow, but dont know any sites or software names to look for. Anyone know something about these that could help? Thanks

This is no software. I think you are refering to the iOS 4 "hack" (forget specific version) that had the ability to bypass the lockscreen with a password, by using the emergency calling and ending up in the Phone app. However, this was only for iPhones before and Apple already patch this up.
