I am also waiting for a 4TB 12.5mm hybrid. That does not mean one can replace the other.

And 8GB flash has been skimpy since the beginning.

I am asking for them, similar to the Skylake, Kaby Lake, and 32GiB MBP threads.

WD has a 4TB 12.5mm drive which they still only sell as external, but they have yet to produce a real hybrid drive.

I will also take a regular 9.5mm hard drive at this point.

It's unbelievable that this is still not available when people are getting capped at 2TB for their PS4's.

More 9mm 2TB hard drives were just released, but nothing bigger.

When it is released where will you put it?

3TB would be such a perfect size for me too.

Really, having to pay $400 for a 4TB SSD is still not acceptable for nearline storage when a hard drive would cost about $100.

Consider getting any Thunderbolt 3 M2 externals you get at Amazon! this seems the best way to get speed but beware read the reviews because not all externals deal with heat very well!

Thanks, but if I wanted to get an external I would have done it years ago.
