Anyone else finding it impossible to update? I'm on Catalina now. 2018 15" MBP, 2.6 GHz 6-core i7, 16GB DDR4.

There's a discussion about this on the Apple developer site. They suggest that you put the prior version in the trash before updating. You might want not to empty the trash, just in case.

XCode 11 and 11.1 are VERY buggy and even worse with OS X 10.15 Catalina. If you haven't "upgraded" yet you should wait a long time before you do.

This is one of the worst upgrades to XCode EVER.

I have to update a commercial application that's sold on the App Store. I can't do it with XCode 11 - too many horrible bugs. Although it runs I can't edit .xibs to add some UI objects and I doubt that the store would accept an application that logs pages and pages of errors when you use it. I have used Time Machine to get the last version of XCode 10 to get the job done. Apple has really outdone itself in crap with XCode 11. There are many horrible reports about this on the Apple Developer site and other on-line forums.

I can't go back to XCode 10.3 with time machine. The restored XCode won't run so I am screwed until Apple fixes XCode 11. !@#$%^&
