    Copying from external hdd super slow. rsync or better command line option?

    I've got an external portable HDD that had my iTunes library (amongst other things). I was in the process of migrating it over to a newer external SSD when my Mac crashed. Since then, something has happened to the HDD that has made is suuuuuuuuuper slow. All the data appears to still be there...

    Is there a droplet or app to fix greyed ("busy", but not actually busy) files in the Finder?

    I have a folder with tens of thousands of various files that I rescued and conslidated from a bunch of older drives. I am trying to move all of these files to a new drive, but I get a message that some (probably hundreds or thousands) of the files can't be copied over because they are "in use"...

    RCA Audio/Video out > into 15'' MacBook Pro ??

    What is the most effective way to transfer from Sony Hi8mm Video Camera to MACBOOK PRO 15" late 2009 that only has either Firewire, USB2 inputs. The source is a Sony Hi8mm Camera that only has mono RCA and RCA Video line output.
