Is the heat really necessary for the corners of the skin to stick on the bottom part of the MacBook? I really don’t want to involve hair dryers with the application process

I am looking for a case, which is compatible with Dbrand skin. My Rhino shield mod case ruins the skin on my iPhone X. I would like to know if anyone finds a case that does not ruin the skin. PS. I am interested Catalyst impact Protection case. But I don’t know it has room for dbrand skin layer.
