    Can I ignore the ".txt" extension while downloading a file in Macbook Pro M1?

    I have been trying to download a ".ipynb" file, a python notebook file. But everytime it adds an extra .txt extension and I can't even change the extension by renaming the file. So, it's so irritating right now. Is there any way to ignore the .txt extension ?

    Hide File Extensions

    I am a newbie to macOS and would like to hide file extensions in "Finder" (“Show all filename extensions" under Finder > Preferences > Advanced is already disabled.)
