MP 1,1-5,1 Mac Pro 2008 MCP Diode Temperature Sensor Stuck at 64°C

About a year ago my trusty MacPro3,1 decided to start running it’s IO fan at a constant full speed. I tried the usual SMC and PRAM resets, and renewed the thermal paste in attempt to resolve, but it made no difference. It looks like the issue is the MCP Diode temperature sensor which reads a...

HomePod HomePod 2 sensors not showing up

CPU Temperature Monitor App for Macbook?

Although most of Apple's Macs come with highly efficient cooling designs, there are times when intensive processing tasks such as video rendering and audio design put an enormous strain on the CPU. If you need to stay on top of the situation and to keep a close eye on your Mac processor's...

MacMini 2010 Server: fans running full speed after converting to single SSD drive

Hi, I've got a MacMini 2010 server (2x 500gb HDD), which I've converted to a single SSD. Machine runs smoothly, but the fans are now running at full speed. I know this is probably because of the temperature sensors. When I installed the SSD, I only re-attached one temperature sensor using...
