SSD performance in Docking Station much lower than expected

I have a Sabrent DS-SC4B Docking Station connected to my Mac Studio via USB-C. In it there are 2 SSDs and 2 HDDs, which I previously used in my old 2010 Mac Pro. I expected the drives to perform better in the new enclosure since they are now connected via SATA 3, while before it was SATA 2 in...

iPad Pro Please share the write speed to external SSDs you get connected to your iPad Pro 2021

Seems to be a big issue. Please share here the write speed to external SSDs you get connected to your iPad Pro 2021. On a Samsung T7 USB 3.2 SSD I got only 44 MBps copying a 5 GB file to the HFS+ formatted SSD using the original USB 3.2 and a TB3/USB4 cable.

    M1 + Anker NVME enclosure (RTL9210B-CG USB 3.1 Gen2) issue and solution

External nvme SSD for 4k editing dilemma

Hi there, I've come to an impasse on the making after a period of what feels like exhaustive research on external nvme SSD's for my iMac video editing setup. My knowledge and experience has maxed out, and I was wondering if anyone with better insight would be so grateful as to help me with some...

USB on M1 Macs isn't actually 10Gb/s? (Also definitely not USB4)

After quite a bit of testing, I have concluded that the USB bus on at least my Mac mini M1 does not actually support "USB 3.1 Gen 2 (up to 10Gb/s)" as listed on the Tech Specs page. I have a Samsung T5 USB-C SSD. It supports "USB 3.1 Gen 2 10Gb/s" (Gawd, I hate USB 3.1+ naming conventions...†)...
