After installing 10.14.2 I found that one of my scripts wouldn't run. This script had run for years. Eventually I found it was related to permissions. In the course of testing things I got a popup asking if I would grant permissions to the target app. I said yes and now the app works. This is the first time this happened. I wonder if this will happen each time we get an update?

What was kind of annoying was that the script didn't report an error, it was just getting a blank field instead of text. It just failed silently.

Anyway, for anyone else running into issues with scripts I think I found the solution. Go to System Preferences and choose the Security and Privacy icon then select Automation. Here you can connect your app to the Script Menu and the Script Editor.

Sorry if this is common knowledge. This was the first time I've run into this.

Good luck.
