Just picked up the server based mac mini 2010. I have a 52" Sony 1080p tv and set the resolution to 1080p in the system prefs. Looks nice for video and all, but I can't see any of the OS fonts. Way too small! I noticed in XMBC and Plex, it keeps the resolution to what I have set in the OS. So if I want to be able to read the OS text, I have to keep the resolution way below 1080p.

So is there a way to keep 1080 p resolution and raise the os font size? Or is there a way to keep the over resolution low and then when you use Plex or XMBC to have the program up the rez to 1080 p?

Thanks

Basically it is the low pixel density in your tv combined with the poor handling of resolution in Mac OS X. You can make fonts bigger in the appearance preference pane in Many applications.
