The 13.4 (17E5241d) build of iPadOS just killed my volume in the Apple TV app playing TV shows on my iPad Pro 11 inch.

The iPad Pro built-in speakers and my headphones, both cabled and Bluetooth, work fine with the Music app, YouTube app, VLC streamer app, etc.

And they work fine playing Movies in the Apple TV app.

ONLY TV shows, ALL TV shows, playing in the Apple TV app have no volume.

Weird...

TV programmes copied as Movies also do not have volume.

VLC works fine with the same files. So it is not a codec problem. But it is very odd that no TV programs, and also some movies, do not play with volume in the Apple TV player on the iPad Pro.

So, it is not an iPad Pro problem - speakers and headphones all work.
It is not a movie or TV programme file problem - all play in VLC player.

It can only be an Apple TV app issue. Some movies, but no TV programmes or TV programmes copied as movies, play with volume.
