My BF updated to 14.4 on my iPhone last night and now I can’t receive messages from Android phones. The Android users get my messages, but I don’t get theirs. I called AT&T and they said it’s not a problem on their end. Anyone having this issue? I’ve tried everything to fix it. He uses iPhone X.

Have you signed into a Android phone recently, or used your sim in an Android phone recently? 14.4 might not have been the trigger here and just coincidence.

Back to the basics, have you checked that “Send as SMS” is still enabled after the update? Secondly, I would do a network reset—settings, general, reset, network reset. Third would be to activate a new SIM card.

When I upgraded my phone, I moved over the SIM I was using. For whatever reason, iMessage wouldn’t activate. I had the reverse effects. Could send SMS, but not iMessage. Activated a new SIM. All issues went away.
