iPhone 8/Plus 15 Day old iPhone 8 died...

My 15 day old iPhone 8 died suddenly. Had iOS 11.1.1 on it for just one day. Apple Store gave me a new one that came in white box with model number that starts with an N. I suspect a refurb. The store kept the white box...
Anyone else with a completely shut down iPhone 8?

The store keeps the white box because they ship the broken devices back in that box.
