Well YOUR (our) use is obviously the most important thing to consider.

Of course. Why would I care what others use it for when I purchase the tablet for myself? I would consider my own needs.

Buy whatever fits your own needs based on what you plan on using it for.

I agree, and I also I wonder why everyone (fanboys at least) thinks it's such a genius move to make the tiny iPhone 5 16:9? I much prefer the aspect ratio of the iPad and the 3.5" iPhone. That's the main reason I won't go near the iPhone 5.

Despite my strong preference for 4:3 on a tablet or computer, 16:9 has not bothered me on the iPhone 5 perhaps because I use it almost exclusively in portrait, and the form factor is not large enough to feel awkward. On a phone a narrower screen is somewhat of an advantage as it does make it easier to reach all areas of the screen with one hand.
