When I try to sync my 1st gen iPad mini with the Finder in my MacBook Air running Catalina, more than halfway through the sync, when it appears that the sync is going fine, I get an error message saying something like, "Cannot sync, iPad is disconnected." But the Finder shows my iPad is still connected. This has happened many times, all with the same result.
I'm planning to get a new iPad mini soon, so I wanted to sync with my computer to make sure I don't lose everything that I've recently added to my iPad.
Does anyone have any idea what's going on and how to get my computer to let my iPad sync with it?
