Just had a look on the UK store, and everything is packing a 24hour shipping time, expect for the iBooks which are both on 5 days.

Do you guys think that means they are the only things getting updated at Expo?

I wanna see my new PowerMac soon!!!

The reason they have a long shipping time is probably because they are the most popular product apple are selling at the moment due to the back to school/college rush....

We definatly wont see them being updated any time soon,

Dual Core Powermacs are on course though, maybe not at the paris expo but soon,

When it comes to PowerMacs only the Dual 2.7 is listed at 2-4 days. Perhaps Apple plans to update only top line of PowerMacs. Replacing the Dual 2.7 with Dual Dual 2.5. That would make Apple PM line look like this Dual 2, Dual 2.3 and Dual Dual 2.5

Seems likely. The 2.7 has had a longer ship date than the others for about one month now.

Since the UK refurbished store is now open from 10am every day until 03/10, the store is packed full of top spec Powerbooks and Powermacs, sounds like updates very soon for both.

oh, and you can also get a 30GB 3G iPod for ~£64 :p

ibooks were just updated rather recently, so that is not a likely update.
Hopefully the powerbooks and powermacs will see some sort of update before MWSF '06. And then at least insight into the "Mactels" (or whatever they're going to be called) at that point.
If freescale has a lower cunsumption chip, it should provide a huge improvement in batterry perfoemnce.

The iPods are cheap, but not that cheap - 30GB 3G is £159 :)

iBooks were just updated! I, and probably many others, would be disappointed if the iBooks were updated before the PBs.

I think it's almost guaranteed we'll see new iBooks with dual 4.4 gHz Intel Yonah 2 processors (quad-core of course) within a week's time.

These iBooks will have 200 gB flash hard drives, 8 gigs of DDR3 ram, ATI Radeon 9.75 * 10^38 graphics cards w/1 gig of vram, Bluetooth 3.0, USB 4.0, Firewire 1600, Terabit ethernet, 48x Blu-ray drive, Airport X5 (wireless Z protocol, 1 gB (not gb)/sec transfer speeds with unlimited connected users), and 3 days of battery life.

They will weigh less than a pound, and will be priced at $500 for the 13.3" model.

:D :D

Someone on another thread mentioned that if you try adding any customization to any of the PMs (even extra RAM) the shipping time shifts to 3 days or more.

Is that normal? They were suggesting that it wasn't.

Also, somebody else said they'd ordered a PM and despite it showing a 24 hour shipping time, they got an email to say that due to demand it wouldn't ship until after the 20th. Hmm... when does Mac Expo start??
