I have a 2020 M1 Mac Mini.
Can I plug 2 HDMI's into the Mini's 1 Hdmi input using something like this?

Looking to have the same screen on 2 different monitors.
Thanks

No idea -- you'd probably have to test it. But if you just want to display the same thing on two different monitors, a solution that would definitely work is to connect each monitor separately (one via HDMI and one via TB), and then set the displays to "mirror".

That's probably a more robust solution than driving two displays via HDMI, since the latter isn't officially supported.

Yeah, I would but I don't have an available usb-c port.

Got it. I also need more TB ports than my iMac has, so I got a Sonnet Echo 11. But that's a lot more $$ than an $11 HDMI splitter, hence I understand why you want to explore that solution first. Just out of curiosity, what are you currently using your two TB ports for?

If you do try it, let us know if it works for you. The Amazon reviews on this, for those who tried it with a Mini, are all over the place. If it were to guess, it looks like it *might* work if both displays have identical frame rates and resolutions, and if you don't mind a reduction in picture quality:

and here's one with an M1 Pro:

"Yeah, I would but I don't have an available usb-c port."

Then... make one "available"...
... by re-arranging other stuff.
