Hey guys, I'm having a huge problem.

This morning I was working on a project on PT 8 LE on my 2008 iMac (10.5), when suddenly a plugin crashed. I had the multicolor wheel cursor for a while and couldn't force-quit or anything, so I rebooted my mac.

Since that moment, the mac hasn't been able to reboot properly, it gets stuck on the blue screen, and doesn't get to the users / password screen.

The only way I've managed to boot it is in safe mode.

Then I restarted and I got a multicolor screen (see pic below).

Went back to safe mode again, booted normally, restarted, and blue screen again.

I've disconnected everything except mouse + keyboard, I've reset scm and pram, still stuck on the blue screen.

Tried to boot from the installation disc, and I got the multicolor screen again.

What is going on? Any idea how to fix it?
