Quarantine is boring and upgrading computers helps pass the time. I decided to put a Sintech in my Air 5,2, got a SATA M.2 MX500 and the adapter from Amazon. Both fit perfectly. When the Sintech and the MX500 are installed the Mac won't turn on. If I put the slow, small and undesirable Apple SSD back in, the Mac boots fine. I have no experience with these adapters. Is there a step I am missing. I assumed the Mac could boot and I could format and reinstall .15 from a USB.

EDIT: Well that was easy, I guess. I took it out and reseated both the Sintech and the MX500. Booted right up. Restoring TM now. 1TB of Sata 3 in a 7 year old Mac! Woot!

Pretty decent speed bump over the Apple SSD.
