So I need to figure this out:

I have a 256 GB 2017 MacBook Pro. It was used by someone else to make an image on an external 256 GB SSD. A Windows 10 boot camp partition of 60 GB was created and the rest of the storage was left to Mac OS. Carbon Copy Cloner was used to clone the SSD to an identical 256 GB 2017 MacBook Pro. I found there was not enough storage in the Windows partition. I am going to use the MacBook Pro that created the image to make a new one with partitions in a more reasonable size. What size for Windows 10 would be recommended for Autodesk Inventor?

My second issue is that I now also have a 512 GB 2017 MacBook Pro. Can I use the 256 GB MacBook Pro and create larger partitions (same Windows 10 in boot camp with the primary use of Inventor) on the external SSD that will make full use of the 512 GB? Will I need a 512 GB SSD for this?

Thanks so much for any help.
