I posted this on Reddit where mods felt it was a “technical” question and therefore wouldn’t approve the post. I’m just going to copy/paste what I wrote.
I have a MagSafe wallet on the back on my phone. Stores 2 cards plus my license. I use Apple Pay as often as I can, but keep the titanium card + my Amex in my wallet for when AP is not available.
My Amex has tap to pay enabled. So, whenever I use Apple Pay I’ve made it a habit of taking my wallet off so that the terminal doesn’t scan my Amex when I want it to go on my Apple Card via Apple Pay.
Is this necessary or does the MagSafe wallet prevent tap to pay cards from…well, tapping? In other words, will tap to pay enabled cards inside of the MagSage wallet “tap” before Apple Pay initializes?
