3rd generation iPod dock with Touch?

Is it possible to use the 3rd generation iPod dock with the touch?

Well the reason I am asking is I have the chance to buy it but I think I will pass on it for now.

This sounds like the same question I read b4 but except it asked would a nano work. BTW it would work as long as its USB not Firewire, but if I were u I'd just go buy the universal dock.

yeah, the touch works with the 3G dock as long as you plug in the USB cable, but the dock doesn't accept the little adaptors so there will be a gap behind the touch when plugged in. I'm just gonna get the new universal dock when they become available.
